Help kids learn money management skills

It’s never too early to begin teaching kids the fundamentals of money management. A Cedar Point Federal Credit Union® Youth Account helps kids and teens learn about financial responsibility, the value of money, and how to reach their financial goals. Plus, we reward our youth members for getting good grades with our A’s = $$$ program.

Visit one of our branches to open an account today and have the opportunity to watch your child’s savings grow over time.

Junior Keepers Club

Kids ages 13-under can become members of our Junior Keepers Club. They’ll meet Junior, the club mascot and their new financial friend. Junior’s family are lighthouse keepers. Through his duties at the lighthouse, Junior learns about responsibility and accountability. Of course, as a “keeper” he’s also a “saver” who teaches young people about the importance of saving and social responsibility.

Junior Keepers Club members also receive a fun gift with each deposit.

The Youth Savings Club

Teens ages 14-17 are members of our Youth Savings Club. Junior Keepers Club accounts automatically transfer to the Youth Savings Club once the member turns 14. When the member turns 18, he or she will become a full Cedar Point member.

For every “A” a student earns in reading, writing, math, science, social studies or other fundamental requirements, Cedar Point will deposit $1.00 in the student’s Youth Account. The maximum amount deposited per report card period is $5.00. We strongly encourage parents and guardians to deposit matching funds.

In addition, kids on the “A” Honor Roll can enter our “A”chievement Awards drawing. The winner of the special year-end drawing will receive a $100 cash prize!

To participate, please bring the student’s report card to a branch near you, or send the card to us via email

The deadline for each report card deposit is approximately one month after the scheduled card issue date.
